A 66-year-old Wyoming man is dead after crashing his motorcycle in Crook County, the Wyoming Highway Patrol says.

The crash happened around 7:25 p.m. on Saturday, July 19 at milepost 171.225 on U.S. 14 northeast of Moorcroft.

According to a fatality crash summary, Clint Rounds was riding north when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and went off the right-hand side of the road.

"The motorcycle crossed a county road, hit a sign, where the rider separated from the motorcycle," the summary reads.

Sadly, Rounds, who was not wearing a helmet, did not survive his injuries.

The summary does not list any possible contributing factors.
