A spokeswoman for the Cheyenne Police Department says police are still investigating a Saturday incident at the Frontier Mall in which a teenager displayed a firearm and made threats during a confrontation with a mall employee.

Alexandra Farkas says police were called out at 2:25 p.m. on a report that a group of teenagers wearing black clothing had caused a disturbance. A mall employee allegedly saw the teens climbing on playground equipment and asked them to leave. One of the teens was said to have punched the employee and taken his glasses.

When the group was again asked to leave the area, one of the teenagers showed a firearm and made some threats, according to the report. The group then left on foot.

The Investigation Is Continuing

The mall was placed on lockdown as officers secured the area. Police are still working to identify the teens involved in the incident according to Farkas
