As of 9 a.m. on Monday, large stretches of Interstate 80 in Wyoming were totally or partially closed, according to the WYDOT road and travel conditions website.

Some restrictions had also been issued for Interstate 25 in the Cowboy State, according to the website. WYDOT says I-80 is closed in both directions between Rawlins and Laramie, due to winter conditions.

I-80 was also closed westbound between Cheyenne and Laramie and eastbound between Rock Springs and Rawlins. The website said that as of 7 a.m. the estimated opening time would have been 7 and 11 hours.

Interstate 25, meanwhile, was closed to light, high profile vehicles between Cheyenne and Wheatland due to strong, gusting winds.
