A 23-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a slew of charges after allegedly fleeing from law enforcement following a DUI hit-and-run that left a male seriously injured.

According to a booking sheet, a Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper arrested Richard C. Kwedor at milepost 0.5 on Wyoming 212 (West College Drive) at 12:36 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 4.

Kwedor was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center and subsequently charged with two felonies, including aggravated eluding, alleging he caused an estimated $50,000 in property damage, and DUI - serious bodily injury as well as two misdemeanors, including duty to stop and reckless driving.

On Monday, Aug. 11, Kwedor was seen in Laramie County Circuit Court in front of Judge TJ Forwood on the charges as well as three misdemeanor cases, one alleging that he violated his probation when he was arrested for the above charges, an auto insurance ticket from the Aug. 4 incident, and one alleging that he failed to appear for a July 1 arraignment on a theft charge.

Total Bond Set at $11K Cash

Bond in the felony case had previously been set at $10,000 cash, which Forwood agreed was appropriate.

Forwood set a separate bond of $1,000 cash for the misdemeanors, consecutive to the $10,000 cash bond.

Kwedor's preliminary hearing, arraignment, and probation revocation arraignment were set for Thursday, Aug. 21, at 2 p.m.

Please remember that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
