Near Record Heat Expected In Southeast Wyoming Monday
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says near-record temperatures can be expected in southeast Wyoming on Monday.
The agency posted the following on its website:
''Looking at a hot and dry day across the area with near-record high temperatures expected. Could see some scattered dry thunderstorms across the area during the afternoon which could lead to an increased risk of fire danger.''
A heat advisory has been posted for some areas, although the advisory does not include Cheyenne or Laramie.
A Heat Advisory is in effect Monday afternoon for portions of southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska panhandle. Temperatures in excess of 100°F are expected. Limit time spent outdoors and stay hydrated.
