New Details Released in Deadly Beating of Cheyenne Transient
The Laramie County Sheriff's Office has released new details about its investigation into the deadly beating of a Cheyenne transient.
The department in a Facebook post Thursday afternoon shared pictures of the victim, 50-year-old Stacey Mullen, who went by the alias of Jason Mullen, taken on the day he was brutally attacked.
"These images, with Mr. Mullen featured on the right side in both, showcase him wearing a distinctive outfit consisting of a black jacket, black pants, and black shoes," the post reads. "In the third picture, he is walking downtown by himself."
The department says the timeline for potential witnesses and sources of evidence spans from 4:03 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19, to 7:56 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 20, the time Mullen was found unresponsive in Curt Gowdy State Park.
"If you were in the vicinity during this period or possess surveillance footage from this time frame, your assistance could be vital to the investigation," the post reads.

Informants will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
SEPT. 1 UPDATE:
The Laramie County Sheriff's Office says the man pictured with Mullen has been identified.
"If you know anyone else who was with Mr. Mullen on this day or have video of him walking by, please reach out to us," the department said in a Facebook update Friday morning.
