A wanted Boise, Idaho woman is behind bars following a traffic stop in Pine Bluffs.

According to a booking sheet, 19-year-old Karmela Marie Gomez-Sanchez was pulled over at 603 W. 6th St. around 6:48 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4 after a police officer clocked her doing 41 mph in a 30-mph zone.

When the officer ran Gomez-Sanchez's information through dispatch, he found that she had an extraditable warrant out of Canyon County, Idaho for failure to appear on an original charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and subsequently took her into custody.

The officer says he was also able to smell marijuana in Gomez-Sanchez's SUV and found multiple items containing marijuana when he searched the SUV.

Gomez-Sanchez was cited for speeding and use or possession of a controlled substance.

She's currently being held in the Laramie County Detention Center awaiting extradition.
