Wyoming's Primary Election is coming up on August 18th. Many of the primary elections for the Wyoming House of Representatives feature candidates aligned with the Wyoming Freedom Caucus.

So what does the Freedom Caucus stand for? According to a recent post on their Facebook page:
Arguments Against The Freedom Caucus
Opponents of the Freedom Caucus often view them as a cultish, radical faction that wants to damage the quality of life and safety of Wyoming residents by taking a meat cleaver approach to cutting state spending,
In the words of the Common Sense Republicans For Wyoming Facebook page:
"We believe in fiscal responsibility. We also believe reckless cuts can do real harm. We believe in limited government. We also believe roads, schools, law enforcement, local communities, courts, and the University of Wyoming matter. We believe in Wyoming."
Opponents of the Freedom Caucus often point to an effort in the legislature in the 2026 budget session to cut block grant funding to the University of Wyoming by $40 million with an additional $21 million in cuts to the University. That measure ultimately failed after a lengthy battle in the legislature.
Freedom Caucus opponents also condemned caucus members for dishonest campaign tactics, such as falsely accusing opponents of trying to remove President Trump from the electoral ballot.
