Winter Weather Hazards In SE Wyoming Weekend Weather Forecast
Southeast Wyoming residents can expect a snowy weekened, with Winter Weather and Dense Fog advisories issued for some areas, according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service.
The agency says Cheyenne, Laramie and most of southeast Wyoming can expect snow:
Light to moderate snowfall will push into the area Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning. The graphics show the probability of 2" or more (left) and 4" or more (right) of snow through Sunday. A band of locally heavier snow is likely to develop over the High Plains, but its exact location is still uncertain at this time.
The agency offers this winter weather timeline:
Various winter weather hazards will be moving through the area over the next 36 hours or so. First, a deck of low clouds and fog is pushing westward across the High Plains this evening, which will bring areas of dense fog and light freezing drizzle through Saturday morning. Then snow shower activity will increase Saturday afternoon and continue into early Sunday morning. Note: The number in each box indicates the probability of measurable precipitation in a 3-hour time period.
Cheyenne is also under a freezing fog advisory sor Saturday morning.
