WYDOT Issues Email Phishing Scam Warning

The Wyoming Department of Transportation is warning people about a new email phishing scam that purports to be from a WYDOT employee.

Email Claims To Be A Compliance Notice

According to the WYDOT Facebook page, the phony email tells recipients that they have an urgent DOT compliance notice with a DocuSign link.

Needless to say, it's a scam. DO NOT open the link.

The post says WYDOT is working with the state Enterprise Technology Services.

The Facebook post goes on to say: Scammers often pose as government employees to earn trust when stealing personal information. WYDOT will never contact the public in this manner regarding any potential issues with a driver license or record.
