Wyoming Senator John Barrasso has offered kudos to the three Wyoming residents who are competing at the Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy.

The three Wyoming residents competing at the Winter Olympics are:

Breezy Johnson. The reigning champion in the downhill event, the 30-year old Johnson was born in Jackson, and competes in the downhill and Super G events. Johnson was awarded the Stifel Alpine Best Comeback award in the women's category in the 2025 Toyota U.S. Alpine Championships.

Jaelin Kauf. Kauf, of Alta, Wyoming, Won the Silver Medal in the moguls in the Beijing Winter Games in 2022. According to Wikipedia She competed for the United States at the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships 2017 in Sierra Nevada, Spain, where she won a bronze medal in dual moguls. She won a silver at the 2019 World Championships in dual moguls.[2]

Anna Gibson. Gibson will compete in the  will compete in the first-ever Olympic Ski Mountaineering competition. This new event is a combination of skiing up and down snowbound alpine terrain. The event includes elements of both mountain climbing and skiing. Gibson was half of the mixed relay team, along with Cameron Smith, that finished first at the 2025–26 ISMF Ski Mountaineering World Cup. That despite the fact she had only taken up the sport six months before.
