Governor Gordon Signs Long List Of Bills Into Law, Vetoes SF119
Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon on Friday signed a long list of bills passed by the 2026 Wyoming Legislature into law, while vetoing another bill.
The governor vetoed Senate File 119, the 'Strategic investments and projects accounts repeal-2" bill.
In a news release, the governor said of the veto:
''Upon review of each section of this Act, something less innocuous may also be afoot: limiting the Chief Executive’s ability to make budget recommendations by reducing access to revenue, thereby establishing an unreasonable one-sidedness between the Executive and Legislative branches,” Governor Gordon said.''
The release also said the bill would prevent the governor from utilizing $496.7 million for the state budget according to a report from the Consensus Revenue Estimating Group.
