Wyoming Troopers Catch Felons With Drugs, Guns in Stolen SUV
Two people are facing charges following a Friday night traffic stop on Interstate 80, the Wyoming Highway Patrol says.
According to an agency Facebook post, it all started around 9 p.m. after troopers in the Rawlins area spotted a Honda Pilot bearing California license plates with a headlight out.
"Troopers stopped the vehicle and saw the passengers trying to hide things," the post reads.
During the course of their investigation, troopers found drugs and guns inside the SUV.
They also learned that both occupants were convicted felons and that the SUV was stolen out of Sacramento, California.
The patrol says both were charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, intent to deliver, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of burglary tools.
The driver was also reportedly charged with felony theft of the stolen vehicle, driving while suspended, and a headlight-out equipment violation.
