The Laramie 9-10 year old All-Stars survived a loser out game for a second straight day with a 17-7 victory over Torrington Thursday.

Laramie scored 13 runs in the first inning highlighted by a three-run home run from Grant Vigen.

Tanner Schilz had five hits and two RBI’s to lead the offense. Laramie finished with 18 total hits. They used six pitchers, and Jace Moniz, who started, got the win.

Manager Brett Moniz said they’ve bounced back nicely after the loss on Tuesday.

“They fought early; got a quick lead, 13-nothing in that first inning. You can take the gas off a little bit, but we stayed competitive, fought and got the win.”

The 9-10 All-Stars need one more win to qualify for the state tournament next week. They face Gillette American in that critical game at 10 a.m. Friday on Red Field.

11-12 All-Stars

The Laramie 11-12 All-Stars enjoyed an off day on Thursday. They will face Gillette in the District 2 Little League championship game at 10 a.m. on Green Field.
