Laramie Mayor Says Dropping Green Waste Saves You Money [VIDEO]
At their last meeting the Laramie City Council decided to no longer offer the Green Waste Program in its current form.
Rising costs combined with the current budget crunch led to the difficult decision. The program will end July 31. The City of Laramie will continue to accept green waste at the Laramie Landfill free of charge, but the green waste bins around town will be going away. A private company will be offering a green waste service residents will have to sign up for.
Laramie Mayor Andi Summerville was our guest earlier this week in our “Mondays With The Mayor” series during the ‘Laramie Live on KOWB’ morning show. She explained what’s happening and why the decision was made with show host David Settle.
