In an effort to curtail drunk driving on New Year's Eve, A-1 Towing will be offering free rides to individuals that plan on drinking while celebrating the new year.

This will be the 19th year of the company's free ride program. The free rides are provided in memory of A-1 co-owner Nicole Candelaria's brother Cal, who was killed in a drunk driving accident in 1993.

"We just want to give back and make sure that everyone gets home safe." Says Candelaria. In addition to offering free rides, A-1 will drive cars to homes and other locations, and will tow cars.

Cars being driven by the A-1 drivers will need to be fully operational and legally registered.

The free rides will be available from 3 p.m.-3 a.m. by calling 307-760-1213.
