New Leader Chosen For UW Medical Education Program
LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — A veteran University of Wyoming faculty member has been chosen to lead the Wyoming medical education program.
Tim Robinson has been serving as interim director of the Wyoming WWAMI Medical Education Program since August. He assumed the director's post this month.
The program is a joint venture among Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho. Under the program, Wyoming students attend UW for the first year of medical school before going on to earn degrees from the University of Washington School of Medicine.
Since 1997, 223 Wyoming students have started medical school through the program and 142 have graduated with medical degrees.
