At 11:45 a.m. on Sunday, the final Great Lakes Aviation plane departed from the Laramie Regional Airport and just an hour and a half later the first United Express plane was on the runway. The 30-seat EMB-120 carried 25 people to Denver International Airport according to Airport Manager Jack Skinner, who also noted that every United Express flight has departed on time through two days of service.

The Laramie Regional Airport will have a new carrier on Nov. 4th with SkyWest Airlines. Operating United Express flights, SkyWest will bring two daily flights to Denver on EMB 120′s, which seat 30 people.

We all gripe about having to take our shoes off when we go through airport security, but according to a list of items confiscated this year by the TSA, footwear may be the least of its concerns.

Recently, the Laramie Economic Development Corporation received a request from Jack Skinner of Laramie Regional Airport. Skinner was asking for support for a a specific carrier that would provide an early morning nonstop flight to Denver International Airport (DIA).
