A 26-year-old transient is behind bars after allegedly setting fire to six dumpsters in downtown Cheyenne Wednesday morning.

Police say a 20-year-old Torrington woman is dead following a Tuesday morning crime spree in the community.

A suspect is in custody after Torrington police say a string of crimes were committed in the community, including a homicide.

Third-degree arson is a felony punishable by imprisonment for no more than 5 years, a fine of no more than $5,000.00, or both.

The initial appearance is set in Cheyenne via a telephone conference call with U.S. Magistrate Judge Mark Carman from the Yellowstone Justice Center.

The fire occurred in the early hours of September 6.

The agencies are working with LPD to determine if the office was targeted or if the arson was a random act of violence.

A man charged with multiple felonies relating to arson and burglary was sentenced for two separate dockets in Albany County District Court Monday, July 9.

The arsonist was ordered to pay more than $105,000 in restitution.

If the case had gone to trial and Stephanie Dodson was convicted on all counts, she could have faced up to 40 years of imprisonment.
