Fans who tuned into the premiere of the Zac Brown Band‘s ‘Live at Red Rocks’ special over the weekend got an added bonus. In addition to several of their chart-topping hits, the band also offered the television debut of a previously unreleased song, ‘Sweet Annie.’

The whole concept of CMT's "Crossroads" is to take the best from one genre of music and team them up with an equally talented representative from another genre.  Then, put them together and see what comes up to the surface.  Usually what comes together is some outstanding music.

Okay.   I'm willing to go out on  a limb and bet that there were PLENTY of really lousy songs that were hot between 1990 and 2000.  I think this list also reflects the fact that soooo many were just played and played and played.  We in the radio bidness refer to that as "burn".

Trying to name the greatest man in country music seems like a pretty impossible task, but if you’re going to assemble the list, asking the folks at CMT to compile it seems like a pretty good place to start.
