It's worth noting that we are talking about an actual temperature--not a wind chill reading.

A fortunate feline is free again after spending a frigid night stuck in a swamp cooler in Cheyenne.

To prevent any potential shortages, Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon has signed a temporary executive order allowing propane delivery drivers to drive extra hours.

The forecast says we can expect ''brutally cold Friday and Saturday with high temperatures struggling to get above 0F across our eastern areas.''

Extremely cold temperatures and even colder wind chills are headed our way according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service.

Laramie, by the way, plunged all the way down to a temperature of -26 degrees. No, that is not a wind chill. It's an actual temperature.

This very cold air mass expected this weekend has many of our climate sites flirting or just outright icing out previous records.

Those with travel plans later this week are urged to monitor the latest forecasts and stay tuned for possible watches, advisories or warnings.

"If you come inside, you forfeit the beer so layer up," the Facebook event says.
