Country star/country rapper, Colt Ford is getting in the Wyoming Cowboy spirit!

Colt Ford just might be country music's biggest best-kept secret -- that is, if you get your music from country radio.

So far, Cheyenne Frontier Days has had a star-studded line-up for the night shows: John Mellencamp. Lady Antebellum. Carlene Carter. Clay Walker. Championship Professional Bull Riders.

First of all, I had to check about five times to really believe it's July already! But, it's another Tuesday and time for new country to be released!

Colt Ford made a fan of Ronnie Dunn during a live show a few years ago. The country legend admits in this behind-the-scenes video that he quickly judged Ford, but after hearing his show, he understood. In fact, he joined him to sing the chorus of 'Mr. Goodtime' on the 'Ride Through the Country Revisited' album.

The often verbose Colt Ford is tongue-tied when seated next to country legend Wynonna Judd. Ford is obviously a fan, and he considers it quite an accomplishment that he convinced the famous redhead to join him for a cut on his 'Ride Through the Country Revisited' album. John Anderson helps Colt Ford rework 'Waffle House' as the Georgia-born singer's band plays along during this behind-the-scenes clip of the recording of 'Ride Through the Country Revisited.' The 16-track album offers a second take on many of the songs Ford released five years ago. Brantley Gilbert, Ronnie Dunn and Wynonna are three of the other special guests who appear.

'Drivin' Around Song' is Colt Ford's best chance for a radio hit, something the singer would likely be willing to shave his body hair for. Jason Aldean's chorus is smooth and memorable, and his presence on the track from 'Declaration of Independence' gives Ford superstar credibility.

Colt Ford is putting his big heart to good use next month when he hosts the first-annual Colt Ford and Friends Celebrity Golf Classic in Georgia. The fundraising event is set to take place on Monday, Sept. 24 at Chateau Elan, just outside of Atlanta. Proceeds raised from the event will go directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to help continue its mission of helping kids who are battling cancer and other deadly diseases by finding cures.

Chances are Colt Ford is walking around with a big ol’ smile spread across his face today. The country rapper’s fourth studio album, ‘Declaration of Independence,’ hit stores last week, and the numbers are in. Fans proved once again that they love them some Colt Ford — the album debuted at No. 1 on the country album’s chart.

On previous albums, Colt Ford backed himself into a tight corner, insisting he’s not rap while spitting rap-like messages of country life, love and fun. The singer admits that by aiming to please everyone, he left most feeling a few bites short of a full meal. This isn’t a problem on ‘Declaration of Independence.’
