Easton Corbin

Got any plans for the Pokes bye week? You do now. The University of Wyoming will host Mercury Nashville recording artist Easton Corbin on Saturday, Sept. 29 in the Arts and Sciences Auditorium. Doors will open at 7 p.m.

It’s a busy month for new country music releases in September 2012, with no less than 10 albums from major country music stars hitting the shelves. While few are using the day after Labor Day to release new music, Sept. 11 is literally packed with new music. Little Big Town, Kix Brooks and Aaron Lewis are just three of the artists with new albums out that day.

The lyrics to Easton Corbin‘s new single ‘Lovin’ You Is Fun’ were penned by two of Nashville’s greatest songwriters around, Bob DiPiero and Jim Beavers, back in 2010. The concept for the song came about like most hits do — through conversation between two friends.

It’s hard to say who looks happier in this picture, country newcomer Easton Corbin or future NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal. The big man surprised Corbin onstage in Orlando last Friday night, playing guitar on a cover of George Strait‘s ‘It Just Comes Natural.’

It's the first ever.  The Blake Shelton and Friends Cruise aboard the Norwegion Jewel is still quite a ways away, but the buzz is already starting to pick up.  And with good reason.  Blake is inviting all his friends and fans to join him and other country artists in October of 2012 on a sail around the islands of the South Atlantic...

It's a brand new tour for the Summer and it's got a great line-up of talent in addition to the boys in the band.

Billboard magazine has given Easton Corbin quite an honor, although he's certianly earned it on his own.  Billboard's annual "The Year in Music"  which is on stands now.  Corbin is also reportedly floored by the fact that iTunes Rewind has named his self-titled album the Country Breakthrough Album of the year.
