It was a remarkable day in Wyoming high school sports history last Friday, as fastpitch softball made its debut.

Kayla Vasquez scored a career-high 19 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead the Laramie girls’ basketball team past Green River, 56-50, last Friday night.

Ky Buell of Cheyenne East and Luke Anderson of Wheatland are this year's winners.
