The brewfest is canceled due to concerns surrounding COVID-19

Director Trey Sherwood reflects on her 10 years with the Laramie Main Street Alliance.

Laramie Main Street Alliance is celebrating its 15th anniversary as an accredited Main Street program.

The first Downtown Laramie Farmers Market of the summer season starts Friday, June 28 and runs every Friday thru Sept. 27 from 3 to 7 p.m.

Sherwood said the Mash Up is the only fundraising event for the Laramie Main Street Alliance. She said the proceeds from the event go towards a number of projects the Laramie Main Street team do improve life in Laramie.

Resolution 2017-01, titled “3,2,1. . .3rd Street! An action plan for enhancing 3rd Street by 2020,” aims to look at enhancements that can be made to Third Street from I-80 to Curtis Street.

The coop is awaiting final approval of the project by the State Land and Investment Board, which will vote on Jan. 19.

Several residents ask about franchise businesses coming to Laramie.

“Think about KickStarter designed just for Laramie,” says Trey Sherwood, executive director of the Laramie Main Street Alliance.

"It's not just about the economics," says Sherwood. "It's also about the aesthetics of -- what does it feel on that corridor? Isn't it safe?"

The Laramie Main Street Alliance is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides free services to businesses and organizes events including the Laramie Brewfest, the Downtown Farmers' Market and Scaramie in order to revitalize Laramie's historic downtown.
