Country artists have a reputation for penning lyrics that tell tough stories, but one of the hardest things that some stars have to go through isn't always covered in the biggest hits: band breakups.
Lonestar's new 'Life as We Know it' album is available as of June 4, and the band is giving Taste of Country readers a chance to hear the whole thing with an exclusive stream. 'Life as We Know It' is the first album with original lead singer Richie McDonald since 'Mountains' from 2006.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and a pink spotlight is shining on this cause by multiple arms of the entertainment industry. Country quartet Lonestar are doing their part to raise funds and awareness. The band are helping to corral $50,000 for benefit breast cancer research by doing what they do best — perform.
Multi-platinum country group Lonestar recently reunited for a 20th anniversary tour, and the band has announced the upcoming release of a new single, ‘The Countdown,’ as well as a new album from their classic lineup to go along with it.
Good news for Lonestar fans. Next year, the band’s original lead singer, Richie McDonald, will return to the group — best know for hits ‘Amazed’ and ‘I’m Already There’ — to mark 20 years of making music together. In addition to a tour to commemorate their anniversary, Lonestar will also release a brand-new album with vocals by McDonald.
