The 27-year-old Villalva was arrested Wednesday afternoon after leading Cheyenne police on a roughly 15-minute chase which ended with his SUV catching fire.
Park officials emphasized the danger posed by geysers and hot springs, saying that many people have been injured or killed by underestimating that danger.
Yellowstone National Park on Saturday released webcam footage from Old Faithful, where someone asked for his now-fiancee's hand in marriage, and absolutely knocked it out of the park.
The three men were charged with violating a regulation that requires people to stay on designated board walks or trails, and with creating or maintaining "a hazardous or physically offensive condition."
