Critical fire danger for many areas is expected again tomorrow [Aug. 25].

Critical fire weather is occurring in much of the Cowboy State, the National Weather Service announced Monday evening.

Hot and dry conditions will lead to critical fire danger over the South Laramie Range and foothills this afternoon, but a nice cooldown is expected late week.

Very warm, extremely dry and breezy conditions are expected across southeast Wyoming today and Wednesday, but some relief is in sight.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect for the Sierra Madre, Snowy, and South Laramie Range for Tuesday 11 AM to 8 PM.

Structure protection crews will begin assessing Ryan Park and the town of Centennial.

The warning is for tomorrow.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect for portions of south central Wyoming until 8 p.m. this evening.

Critical fire weather results from a combination of high temperatures, low humidities and strong, gusty winds.

High fire danger can also be expected on Thursday.

Don't take any chances with starting a fire today.
