Champions were crowned in Laramie back in November

Here's another big season-opening events on the hardwood.

The Star Valley Braves have their first Gatorade Wyoming Football Player of the Year Award winner. Senior lineman Cooper Lawson was chosen for the 2024-25 honor.

The second recipient of our football honor is Star Valley senior Smith McClure.

Lawson has been a star lineman on both sides of the line of scrimmage for the Braves.

The second WyoPreps Athlete of the Year Award, presented by Premier Bone and Joint Centers of Wyoming, went to Star Valley’s Jordyn Horsley for girls’ golf.

The Braves made it a trio of consecutive state championships in 3A

Star Valley’s Jase Burton ran a sub-15-minute time, finished second, and qualified for the Nike Cross Nationals last Saturday at the Nike Cross Regionals Northwest in Boise, ID.

The Class 3A state championship game features two-time defending champion and top-ranked Star Valley playing No. 2 Cody on Friday in Laramie.
