Casper and Lusk could get a foot of the white stuff, according to the projections. Cheyenne and Laramie will get less snow but are facing brutally cold temps.
We will begin to see a prolonged period of moderate to heavy snowfall for the Snowy and Sierra Madres Ranges where 1 to 2 feet of snow accumulation will be possible.
Snowfall totals remain uncertain for areas between Cheyenne and Alliance, so the Winter Storm Watch remains in effect with additional updates expected later today.
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has expanded a Winter Weather Advisory that was already in effect for parts of SE Wyoming to cover a much larger area.
