If you've ever dreamed of someday owning your very own "zamboni", here's the opportunity you've been waiting for.

This week, the city of Casper, Wyoming, announced a public auction for a variety of surplus equipment , including the town's former "ice resurfacer."

For years, the ice resurfacer was used at the Casper Ice and Events Center. With the recent aquisition of a new "zamboni", the city is looking for someone to take the old one off their hands.

How much does a used zamboni cost? It depends on size and condition. We found several ice resurfacers for sale on Ebay, ranging in price from $1,500 all the way up to $30,000.

Casper isn't the only Wyoming city that owns a "zamboni". There are several city or county-owned public ice rinks in the Cowboy State, including the Cheyenne Ice and Events Center, the Laramie Ice and Event Center, the Lander Ice Rink, the Riley Arena in Cody and the Cambell County Ice Arena in Gillette.

The town zamboni is one of many items on the block in Casper's upcoming auction, which also includes a lawnmower, a 2007 Chevy Suburban, a snowmobile, a 46' trailer, five busses, a 2008 Ford Crown Vic and two golf carts.
