Toby Keith Highest Paid Country Star

Nope. It's NOT Taylor Swift.  After the year miss Swift has had, you would think that it's a no-brainer.  But the fact is, Toby exceeded Taylor's total by about five million dollars in the past 12 months.

Forbes Magazine is reporting that Toby Keith made 50 million dollars, ( uh, that's $50,000,000.00 )between May 2010 and May of 2011.

Though a substantial percentage of the money was from music sales, Forbes is also reporting that a large piece of the total came from monies made from Toby's I Love thie Bar and Grill restaurant chain, an endorsement deal with Ford Motor Company and other business activities,   Toby had a very nice payday.

Don't worry about Taylor, though.  The same report is showing that she pulled down a cool 45 million dollars in the same period.  Mr. Brad Paisley wrapped up the top three with 40 million.

Tim McGraw - 35 Million

Rascal Flatts - 34 Million

Kenny Chesney - 30 Million

George Strait - 24 Milllion

Alan Jackson - 22 Million

Carrie Underwood - 20 Million

and

Sugarland - 18 Million

It just goes to show you the economic power that country music is enjoying right now.  Look for all these artists and acts to add to their totals next summer when the concert season kicks into high gear again.
