TORNADO WATCH 484, PREVIOUSLY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM MDT THIS EVENING, IS NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT MDT TONIGHT FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN NEBRASKA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 5 COUNTIES IN WESTERN NEBRASKA BANNER BOX BUTTE DAWES SCOTTS BLUFF SIOUX IN WYOMING THIS WATCH INCLUDES 6 COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL WYOMING CONVERSE NIOBRARA IN SOUTHEAST WYOMING ALBANY GOSHEN LARAMIE PLATTE THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF AGATE, ALLIANCE, BILL, BORDEAUX, BOSLER, CHADRON, CHADRON ST PARK, CHEYENNE, DEER CREEK, DOUGLAS, GERING, GLENROCK, GUERNSEY, HARRISBURG, HARRISON, LARAMIE, LUSK, REDBIRD, SCOTTSBLUFF, TORRINGTON, AND WHEATLAND.

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for parts of southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle that includes the cities of Cheyenne and Laramie until 10:00 PM Thursday (July 4).
Severe thunderstorms are expected to develop in the watch area this afternoon. Heavy rain, large hail, strong winds, and tornados are possible. (full text of the watch below).

Tornado Watch Number 484 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 235 PM MDT Thu Jul 4 2019 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Tornado Watch for portions of Northwest Nebraska Panhandle Southeast Wyoming * Effective this Thursday afternoon and evening from 235 PM until 1000 PM MDT. * Primary threats include... A couple tornadoes possible Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5 inches in diameter likely Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75 mph possible SUMMARY...Multiple supercells should develop across southeast Wyoming this evening and may eventually evolve into a cluster across parts of the Nebraska Panhandle. The tornado watch area is approximately along and 75 statute miles north and south of a line from 45 miles south southwest of Douglas WY to 30 miles south southeast of Chadron NE.
