High winds are causing travel restrictions and warnings along parts of Interstates 25 and 80 in Wyoming, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT).

As of 8 a.m. Wednesday, Interstate 25 between Douglas and Casper was closed to light, high profile vehicles. An ''Extreme Blow Over Risk'' warning had been posted for that same stretch of I-25.

Meanwhile, Interstate 80 from Laramie to Walcott Junction was also closed to light, high profile vehicles, and also had an ''Extreme Blow Over Risk Warning'' in effect. It doesn't look like the high winds will be letting up for a while.

The National Weather Service office in Cheyenne is warning of winds in the 70 mph range for some areas of southeast and southcentral Wyoming through Wednesday afternoon
