Police have identified the victims of Wednesday morning's shooting at an apartment complex in Cheyenne.

Officer Dan Long, a spokesman for the Cheyenne Police Department, says 45-year-old Matthew Wilson of Cheyenne, an employee of Heritage Court Apartments, was shot and killed outside the apartment building.

Police say 65-year-old Gregory Gilbert was outside the building next to Wilson and was wounded. He was transported to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center and is currently listed in critical condition.

Another shooting victim, 74-year-old Larry Warwick, was shot inside the building. He also was taken to CRMC and his current condition is unknown.

The wounded men were residents at the Heritage Court Apartments, an affordable senior housing complex located at 3912 Gregg Way.

Long says the gunman, 77-year-old Larry Rosenberg, shot the men around 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Rosenberg then fled the scene, but killed himself with a handgun when officers approached him near the intersection of Hot Springs Avenue and Chesnut Drive.

Long says Rosenberg knew all three victims and there was a history of bad blood between them.

The case remains under investigation.
