Winter Weather Returns to Laramie Area Wednesday

Old Man Winter will make his return to the Laramie area Wednesday, as well as much of central Wyoming. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect Wednesday through Thursday for an area that includes Laramie.

"Snow will increase in coverage/intensity over western areas this morning, then spread across the remainder of southeast Wyoming and the western Nebraska Panhandle later this afternoon and tonight. The heaviest accumulations will generally be over Carbon County. In addition, gusty winds near 30 MPH today may create considerable blowing/drifting snow. Those with travel plans across the area over the next 24 hours should be prepared for adverse winter weather conditions. Check road conditions prior to venturing out. For Laramie, the forecast says that a wintery mix will begin around mid-day on Wednesday. It will change to all snow by Wednesday night. Current estimates say to expect around one to two inches in the city.
