WYO Governor Hires Former ‘Charles In Charge’ Star Michael Pearlman
Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon announced his new communications director this week. Michael Pearlman brings decades of experience as a journalist, public relations specialist, and an actor on the 1980's sitcom "Charles In Charge".
Pearlman was eight years old when he landed his first movie role, co-starring with Paul Simon in the film "One Trick Pony". After appearing in several made-for-television movies, he joined the cast of "Charles in Charge", playing the role of Jason Pembroke in twenty episodes from 1984 to 1987. Like many other child stars, his fame was short-lived. A guest role on the CBS series "Kate & Allie" would eventually be the final credit of his acting career.
After graduating with a journalism degree from New York University, Pearlman came to Wyoming, working as a reporter for The Sheridan Press and Jackson Hole News & Guide.
Pearlman moved to Cheyenne in 2011 and recently served as director of marketing and public relations for the business services consultant ALIGN and president of the Cheyenne MPO Citizens Advisory Committee.
