Wyoming Braces for High Impact Weather This Weekend

Much of the cowboy state is bracing itself for at least some form of winter weather this weekend, starting Thursday night.

The National Weather Service is predicting significant mountain snowfall for much of central Wyoming, but the chances of snow don't stop there.

Day weather meteorologist, Don Day, says that most of the state is likely to see snow of some kind.

"Right now I think that the parts of the state that are most under the gun for the heaviest snow will be the east-central, the central and the south-central areas of the state. In particular Casper, Lander, Riverton, Lusk, Douglas and down into the Rawlins area," says Day. "But the whole state is going to get snowed on and the whole state is going to be a lot colder. There will be areas of travel concerns developing as early as Friday in many areas."

Day goes on to say that the upcoming system to be a "high-impact" event.
