Wyoming Filmmaker Reenacts Police Shooting In Controversial New Short ’10-78′ [VIDEO]
Wyoming filmmaker Cole Smith recently released a shocking new project that depicts a police officer-involved shooting in real time. "10-78", named after the code for police who need assistance, was filmed in Cheyenne last fall.
Smith, who is also an active duty officer stationed at F.E. Warren Air Force Base, wrote, directed and co-produced the film along with fellow Air Force Airman Devin O’Rourke.
Last year, another one of Smith's short films "Memorial Day", which followed two veterans mourning a fallen friend, won a grant from the Wyoming Arts Council
"10-78" is now available on Vimeo. Smith is planning to showcase the project at several film festivals across the country this summer.
