Vickie Diamond, President and CEO of Wyoming Medical Center, announced her retirement today after 13 years at the hospital, eight years as President and CEO and more than 40 years in health care. Though she expects her last day to be July 1, 2017, she will stay on until the new President and CEO is selected.

“Vickie Diamond will remain CEO until the new  President and CEO is in place, and she will by no means be a lame duck leader,” says Wyoming Medical Center Board of Directors chairman John Masterson. “We have not had the chance for such a careful and deliberate transition to new leadership in a very long time, and the Board of Directors will take advantage of this opportunity to ensure the selection is the best possible for our community hospital."

The board will initiate a nationwide search for a new CEO and encourages all local and regional candidates to apply. They are in the process of selecting a national search firm to assist in recruiting the top candidates
