Wyoming Ranked High On 2017’s Best Places To Raise A Family
All Wyoming residents know how awesome of a place the Cowboy State truly is, but now according to a new study done by WalletHub, the rest of the country will know as well.
Out of all fifty states in the union, Wyoming's overall rank was 14th. According to the study, Wyoming has the highest median family annual income (adjusted for cost of living), at $79,732, which is 1.7 times higher than in Hawaii, where it is lowest at $48,111.
Also adding to our high ranking is the fact that Wyoming has the lowest share of families receiving food stamps at 6.17%, which is 3.6 times lower than in the District of Columbia, where it is highest at 22.01%.
Wyoming scored in the top 20 on other metrics including "Family Fun" and "Health & Safety".
We Wyomningites often joke about keeping our little slice of Heaven a secret, but more and more studies are proving that this truly is one of the places to live in the United States. Apparently the secret is out!
