Wyoming Woman Accidentally Texted Cop To Score Drugs
A Powell, Wyo. woman thought she was texting her drug dealer. Instead, her offer to trade sex for meth was sent to a police officer.
Powell Police Sgt. Paul Sapp was on duty when he received the mistaken message. Because he was in uniform, Sapp agreed to meet the woman, then called the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation, who sent a plainclothes officer to pose as the drug dealer. The 23-year-old woman was taken into custody and is now facing charges of attempting to possess a controlled substance and prostitution, according to the Powell Tribune.
The latest arrest follows another bizarre drug-related incident in Powell this summer. In July, a municipal employee discovered marijuana growing in several public planters around town, including one directly across the street from the police station.
