Wyoming’s Favorite Christmas Movie Is…
When it comes to Christmas movies, folks here in the Cowboy State say "bah, humbug". A new list ranking the most popular holiday film in each state claims Wyoming's favorite Christmas flick is "Scrooged".
The 1988 Bill Murray comedy also took the top spot in Kansas and Oregon, according to Streaming Observer, who studied Google search trends to find the most popular holiday films around the country. Their data indicates a shift away from traditional titles like "It's A Wonderful Life" to modern movies like "Bad Santa", "Elf", and "Home Alone". Other non-tradition Christmas films like "Die Hard", "Gremlins", and "Edward Scissorhands" also fared well.
"Gremlins" was the most popular holiday movie in Colorado. Our neighbors in Nebraska like "Bad Santa". Meanwhile, South Dakota still loves the classics; their favorite Christmas flick is "Frosty The Snowman".
