The national weather service has issued a "Blizzard Warning" for the Laramie area starting at 2:00 AM through Noon Thursday.

A blizzard warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected.  West winds are expected to gust as high as 55 mph.  The strong winds combined with new, dry snow will produce white-out conditions with visibility less than one quarter of a mile.

Travel and outdoor activities will be difficult and hazardous.  Roads will be snowpacked and slick.  Wind chill values are expected to be well below zero.

The national weather service advises against travel is expecting travel to be extremely dangerous.  For those who must travel, the NWS encourages them to have a winter survival kit.
