Lauren Alaina – In the Top 30 [VIDEO]

It's taken quite a while for Lauren's latest single to claw its way up the country charts. But, the American Idol Runner-up has finally cracked the top 30 with Georgia Peaches.

Lauren didn't have a great deal of success with Like My Mother Does. She and her record label are hoping for better things with this fun little song and video.

In an interview with Ace Showbiz the Georgia teen had a very hopeful outlook on the whole process and pulling off a character she says played a big part in the video.

I kind of have to learn how to sassy walk, they don't like redneck walkin'. I just have to shake my booty a little bit, I guess.

 This single is her second from her freshman album Wildflower. The video features Lauren and a bunch of her friends.

Making the 'Georgia Peaches' video was a blast. I got to have some of my closest friends in the video. We were laughing and having a good time throughout the night. I love that I was able to have them there.

She's just 17 and I'm sure there's a lot more to come.  Georgia Peaches isn't a song to take too seriously, and, well, neither is the video.
