Lyle Lovett fans have a lot to be excited about this spring. The singer-songwriters is heading out on a solo acoustic tour.

Lovett will start his tour next Tuesday in New York City. He's already decided to use that occasion to launch his latest CD Release Me as well. Even though the New York show will be a solo affair, Lovett is scheduled to welcome John Hiatt for a series of shows as the tour progresses.

An interesting side note is the fact that this will be Lovett's last album released on Curb Records. In case you didn't know it, that's the same label that has made headlines lately after Tim McGraw took them to court. Lovett has only had one label his entire career, and that label is (was) Curb.

Lyle plans on helping publicize the tour with some high-visibility appearances on David Letterman, The View and Morning Joe on MSNBC all next week.

I'm a fan of Lyle Lovett's work. I'm looking forward to his latest release.
