The Laramie Main Street Alliance "strives to preserve historic Downtown Laramie while enhancing its economic and social vitality," according to the organization's mission statement.

"It's not just about the economics," says Sherwood. "It's also about the aesthetics of -- what does it feel on that corridor? Isn't it safe?"

"In general, we're excited that a lot of our existing businesses are looking at expanding," says Sherwood.

“There’s no desire at all to have one name or the other be bigger,” says Palumbo. “We don’t care about the order, we want customers to be happy.”

The Laramie Main Street Alliance is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides free services to businesses and organizes events including the Laramie Brewfest, the Downtown Farmers' Market and Scaramie in order to revitalize Laramie's historic downtown.
