Toby Keith is Worth a LOT and He Doesn’t Care

As we reported to you earlier, Toby Keith had the most success of top country artists last year with over 50 million dollars between his various business interests. Now, we are learning of reports that Toby doesn’t understand what the big deal is regarding his funds.

In a recent interview with CMT’s Alison Bonaguro, Toby allows that he’s surprised that anyone even cares what he makes.

“I don’t know who cares. I don’t know how they compile all of their numbers and things”, Toby said in the interview. “I mean, it’s nice to be at the top and around it all the time. We work hard enough that we’ve earned that position, but I don’t understand why peple car. I guess they do. I don’t know. It’s just goofy, I guess it sells magazines.”

Well, I would guess that his fans are rather impressed with the total. I mean, I didn’t come close to matching 50 mill in earnings last year. There are probably at least three zero’s more in Toby's bank account than mine. Plus, I think people generally like to see success for an artist that almost everyone will readily admit is a super guy, father and husband.

Basically, I think folks are just saying “good on ya”, Toby. Keep up the good work and don’t be too surprised if there are people interested in next year’s total.
