Toby Keith – Makes Time’s Top 10 Restaurant List
Did you know there's a list of the Top 10 Celebrity restaurants in America? Did you know that both Toby Keith and Kenny Rogers have one? How about Jimmy Buffett? Those three are on Time Magazine's list of the top 10 Celebrity restaurants in Amerca.
Toby's I Love This Bar and Grill and Kenny Rogers' Kenny Rogers Roasters are ranked on the list.
Of course, Toby's I Love This Bar and Grill is inspired by his I Love This Bar single. One of the nicest things about Toby's restaurants is the fact that if you're an American soldier, you receive memorabilia and a cheeseburger on the house. Toby's Minneapolis operation is currently up for Nightclub of the Year at this April’s ACM Awards.
Kenny Rogers first opened his Kenny Rogers Roasters way back in 1991. At one time, there were 350 across the south and mid-west. However, hard times hit and the chain went into reorganization. There are now just 7 in the U.S and has been purchased by an Asian restaurant group and is doing very well in Malaysia and the Phillipines.
While Kenny and Toby represent country quite well on the list, there are rockers like Sammy Hagar and pop-stars like Justin Timberlake on the top 10 as well. For those of you who would like to see the complete list, just visit Time's website here.
Here's hoping more country artists take a chance and try to broadent their appeal to different demographics. That kind of publicity can only help the genre.
