Various parts of central and southeast Wyoming may see winds of over 75 miles per hour, blowing snow and blizzard conditions starting on Friday evening, according to the Cheyenne office of the National Weather Service.

The agency posted this statement on its website:

"Winter Storm and High Wind Watches are in effect for much of the area from 6 PM Friday through 5 AM MST Sunday. There is potential for blizzard conditions to develop in the Winter Storm Watch (blue) area. Otherwise, virtually all areas will see very strong winds in excess of 65 MPH during the same time period. If you have travel plans after Thanksgiving, especially on Saturday, be mindful of potentially severe travel impacts. Reconsider plans. Consider traveling early or delay travel until conditions improve."
